‘My name is Kevin Stanfill and I am 17 years old. Iam now a full-time student at BSU. I attended Sheridan Academy for almost 8 years and I graduated from there. Sheridan Academy is a good school for students who are not challenged at all by their schoolwork in the public shool system or don’t think that the teachers really care whether the student passes or fails. Sheridan Academy teaches students more than they would learn in the public shools because it is a smaller setting.
During the time that I spent there, I learned so much more than I would have learned in a public school. I had more time to do my work because I didn’t have to sit through boring lectures all day and have four hours of home-work each night. Although I never thought I’d say this, my teachers were right about most of the things I’d face right out of high shool. Students need to understand the following: Do your work and stay caught up in your reading and homework assignments - it isn’t worth it in the long run to mess up in high school.
All in all, it is a fun, challenging school were everyone knows each other and strangers aren’t left out.” - Kevin S. (student) 9/28/2005
