Admissions

Enrollment Policy

Sheridan Academy has an open enrollment policy.  We accept students anytime through-out the year.  Due to our customized curriculum approach, we can accept students mid-semester and pick-up where they left off in their previous schooling depending on goals and needs. This Also applies to international students.

Domestic Student Application Process

Contact the school Director, Greg Norton, to discuss your students’ needs and abilities.  An initial interview will be arranged to assess whether the student and Sheridan Academy are a good match.  As we have a close knit school environment, Sheridan Academy considers the success of all student’s with each additional student enrolling.  If accepted, please complete the domestic student forms at right.

International Student Application Process

Sheridan Academy works with many International School Agencies and private families. International students must complete the International Student Application Forms.  We prefer a SLEP score of at least 50.  

After Acceptance to Sheridan Academy

Students learn in different ways using different skills and abilities. When a student is enrolled, Sheridan Academy administers two standardized tests (math and reading.) Based on these test results, an individualized curriculum is created. It is not uncommon to have an 8th grade student reading at college level, yet struggling with basic math. This customization of the students’ course work allows for more effective learning.

Private School Uniforms

Sheridan Academy requires school uniforms which include a evergreen or white shirt with collar and school emblem plus khaki shorts, skirts or slacks.  Lands End Business Outfitters provides shirts with the school emblem embroidery.  See application forms for more details on school uniforms and dress code.
