Founded in 1995, Sheridan Academy is an accredited private school that provides an intimate environment with one-on-one education for students unsuccessful in traditional school settings.

Sheridan Academy serves students in grades 6 - 12 and provides each student with an individualized curriculum tailored to the student’s abilities and needs. Students at Sheridan Academy receive the highest quality instruction in
academics as well as instruction in study skills, social skills and job skills.

INDIVIDUALIZED CURRICULUM

Students learn in different ways using different skills and abilities. When a student is enrolled, Sheridan Academy administers two standardized tests (math and reading.) Based on these test results, an individualized curriculum is created. It is not uncommon to have an 8th grade student reading at college level, yet struggling with basic math. Customizing the students’ course work allows for more effective learning.
